An educator and leader committed to the integral development of children in Puerto Rico. Born and residing in Arecibo, she has dedicated more than two decades to teaching, directing educational programs, and training future teachers. She leads with passion in education and community service, empowering children through non-profit organizations in Puerto Rico.
As Executive Director of Hogar Abrazo de Amor, Inc., she coordinates and oversees services for minors, leads accreditation processes, and manages proposals and reports for private and government entities. In 2021, under her leadership and alongside her team, Hogar achieved a significant milestone by obtaining Joint Commission accreditation, an international recognition that certifies the quality and safety of service delivery. This achievement not only validated the institution's commitment to excellence but also positioned Hogar as a leader in childcare and development in Puerto Rico.
Throughout her career, Johanna has received numerous accolades, including the Eugenio María de Hostos Medal for Academic Excellence, the Who’s Who Among Students in American Universities & Colleges award, and distinctions for her high academic achievement at Inter-American University of Puerto Rico.
Her professional life reflects a combination of dedication, leadership, and social commitment—attributes that have made her an influential figure in children's education in Puerto Rico. With vision and passion, Johanna continues to contribute to the development of new generations, convinced that education is the most powerful tool for transforming lives.
