WHO ARE WE?

Hogar Abrazo de Amor is a non-profit organization located in Arecibo, Puerto Rico. Since 2012, we have provided shelter services to girls and young women between the ages of 13 and 17 who are under the protection of the Department of the Family, with the goal of offering them a safe and stable home. Our commitment is to provide not only a place to live, but also the opportunity to grow up in an environment filled with love, respect, and dignity.

Empowering New Beginnings is at the heart of everything we do. Dedicated to providing a home-like environment, the home ensures that young women receive health services, social and psychological support, as well as the tools they need to prepare for an independent and meaningful life. Hogar Abrazo de Amor focuses on strengthening the residents' self-esteem and identity, helping them develop the confidence needed to face their future with assurance and prepare to successfully reintegrate into society as responsible and valued citizens.
